German Quality Of Power And Speed
If you are looking for a car that can boast being in the top ten fastest cars in the world and you want to be sure you are buying a good quality all round car then you really must take a look at the Gumpert Apollo because this is German quality at its best, and the biggest concern during the manufacturing of this car was that they wanted it to be a street legal car but ready for the race track, a great combination and one that they achieved.

With a bi-turbo intercooled 90 degrees v8 engine with a capacity of 4163cc it really makes for impressive driving, there is light metal cylinder heads which have five valves per cylinder and four overhead camshafts. Another impressive feature is the double-glow exhaust system which has four oxygen sensors that can monitor the gas mixture and a 3-way catalytic converter. These are just a few of the facts that make up the impressive beast of an engine that you will find under the bonnet of the Gumpert Apollo super car.
So proud and convinced of the uniqueness and reliability of the Gumpert Apollo car that the manufactures are sure that the car could be driven upside down in a tunnel when driven as a sufficiently high speeds of over 190 miles per hour although this has never actually been put to the test.
Although quite chunky in looks the Gumpert Apollo is surprisingly good looking although it may not be everyone’s ideal shape it certainly looks like a car that is built for speed and very impressive to be seen cruising down your local High street, in fact this car would look more in place cruising down the Las Vegas strip at night.
Although what has gone into the engine seems very precise and well thought out the same may not be said for the interior as it is known for being quite small, the seat is not the most pleasant of seats and if you are quite tall and have broad shoulders then you may struggle to be comfy in this car but for the price and considering that it is one of the top 8 of the fastest cars in the world you are acquiring a lot for you money especially if speed and power are more important to you than comfort and looks then you certainly will not be disappointed as this German car does live up to its name in power.
The Gumpert Apollo also boasts that in 2007 it appeared on the ever popular English program Top Gear which has followers around the globe, there it was driven by Richard Hammond and ‘The Stig’ who both thought it was a sensational drive with an incredible lap time of 1.17.1 although these two men are not the tallest of men, it is probably not surprising, given the lack of space inside the Gumpert Apollo, that Jeremy Clarkson did not test drive this German super car because he may have had to fold himself up to be able to sit in it.
