The Hugely Respected McLaren F1.

When you think about which is one of the fastest cars in the world or certainly when you think about speed and cars in the same sentence then you will probably think of McLaren, a name that everyone associates with racing and Formula 1.  It is a name recognised the world over and a name that a lot of top class racing drivers are proud to be associated with.

McLaren cars really are the crème de la crème of fast cars and the McLaren F1 is no exception with its top speed reaching 240 miles per hour and its impressive 0-60 taking just 3.2 seconds and this has been the story with McLaren since as early as 1994 which then was a very good speed and one that was pretty unique back then.  The McLaren F1 is certainly what you would expect from a manufacture that is renowned for being one of the top producers for cars in the racing world and hugely respected for it with some of the most famous racing drivers in the world in the past to the present feeling very proud to race a McLaren F1 car.

The power behind this magnificent beast comes from its huge V12 engine that packs a great 627 horsepower at 7400rpm it is something you cannot help but be impressed with.  McLaren really do go all out when building and designing their super cars and with materials such as carbon, titanium, gold and for the first time the use of carbon fibre monocoque chassis which were the designs of Chief Engineer, Gordon Murray, you really have to take your hat off to him.  Its streamline structure will still knock spots of its rivals of today with it probably having the sleekest body you could ever wish for.

Of course as with most McLaren super cars you have the ever popular bat wing similar doors which have become somewhat of a trademark for McLaren.  They really are dream cars to look at and come in some of the raciest colours you could ever imagine in fact these cars would look good in pink with blue spots because the shapes are awesome and it certainly is a class above the rest.

Popular by a huge amount of people around the world and being one of the more expensive cars on the road there are many famous and wealthy people in the world including Rowan Atkinson AKA Mr Bean of the famous Mr Bean series, the Sheik of Dubai, who incidentally is reported to own 5, Ralph Lauren and the famous television celebrity J Leno is also reported to be the proud owner of this fabulous car.

The fact that there were only 100 of the McLaren F1’s ever made means that these cars are not only like gold dust but will also keep their price and will probably rise in value rather than decrease and to own one would probably give you a great feeling of exclusivity as well as being part of an elite club.
